Poor, September 11, 2024 – All medical students of Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University Malang Class of 2021 successfully held the event Field Lab by carrying the topic of Pediatrics at PAUD Ar-Rohmah. Activities Field lab is one of the annual activities in the Undergraduate Medical Study Program (PSPD) to measure the achievements of the Block learning system.

The topic of pediatrics, which focuses on the health and medical care of children from infancy to adolescence, aims to encourage students to visit and practice directly with children, applying the knowledge they have gained from their studies.

This event was organized by 50 students from the 2021 PSPD class, guided directly by Dr. Riskiyah, MMRS., and Dr. Lina Fitria Astari, Sp. A., M.Biomed. The event began with a presentation on proper toothbrushing techniques, nutritious food, and a Clean and Healthy Lifestyle (PHBS) at the Ar-Rohmah Early Childhood Education (PAUD). In addition, a KPSP (Child Health Assessment) examination was also conducted, which included height, arm circumference, and weight. All 60 students from the Ar-Rohmah Early Childhood Education (PAUD) attended the event.

Dr. Lina Fitria Astari, Sp. A., M.Biomed as the supervisor field lab The pediatrician said, "The impression is very positive, students are able to apply the knowledge gained in lectures well, and can win the hearts of the early childhood students who participated in the growth and development examinations that we conducted." He hopes that the students can continue the successful implementation field lab which is good, and can take lessons on how to deal with the community as an application of child health science.

The purpose of this event is to provide students with a better understanding of the KPSP examination process, to understand how to deliver material in a way that is easy to understand, and to directly observe the behavior of students after the material is delivered. The benefits include being able to directly understand the impact of the delivery method on students' performance. feedback provided by PAUD children. The results of this activity are KPSP examination scores, which contain the child's developmental scores. These scores will then be given to the child's parents to evaluate their development according to their age.

The primary goal of this activity, as an extracurricular learning program, is to encourage students to conduct field visits and engage in hands-on practice in the field of pediatrics. The hope is that students can apply the pediatrics knowledge they gain in lectures directly to the community.

“"Students can also directly practice conducting child growth and development examinations using the KPSP questionnaire, conduct anthropometric examinations, and can conclude and provide suggestions based on the results of the examinations that have been carried out," said Dr. Riskiyah MMRS as a contributor to the Pediatric Block of PSPD.

This activity received a warm welcome from the teachers and participants who attended, and it is hoped that it can be the first step in increasing health awareness in children.
