Various efforts have been made to address the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). This is the case, for example, with the leadership of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. One of these efforts is through social media, both to the UIN campus community in particular and the wider community. With creative solutions, an interactive talk show was held with the theme "Crisis Management, COVID-19 Cases." The event took place in front of the Main Office, Rectorate Building of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, on Friday (March 27).

No half measures, this interactive talk show filled with discussions while sunbathing together brought in speakers, namely Prof. Dr. dr. Yuyun Yueniwati PW, M.Kes, Sp.Rad(K) as Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, UIN Maliki Malang, dr. Christyaji Indradmojo, lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, UIN Maliki Malang and Chair of the UIN Maliki Malang Covid-19 Task Force, Dr. Hj. Ilfi Nur Diana, M.Si, Vice Chancellor of UIN Maliki for AUPK and Prof. Dr. Suhartono, S.Si, M.Kom, Professor of Computer Science, UIN Maliki.

In his presentation as the first speaker, Prof. Yuyun, as he is familiarly known, explained briefly but in detail what the coronavirus actually is. "This is indeed a new virus that was discovered in the Wuhan area, China in December 2019, so the name is Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19). Furthermore, the doctor who also serves at Saiful Anwar Hospital (RSSA) Malang appealed to everyone, especially those in the academic field, to remain vigilant but not panic. "Because we in the academic field are role models for society," he said, imitating Prof. Haris's words at the opening of the event.

This is because, since March 11, 2020, the government has declared the spread of the coronavirus outbreak at pandemic level. This is because it has spread to many countries. Despite this, the virus does have a high infection rate, but actually has a low mortality rate. "It spreads very quickly or infects others, but has a high recovery rate," he explained. Therefore, people who test positive for the coronavirus actually have a high recovery rate.

Dr. Christyaji further explained that the coronavirus outbreak is a natural disaster. However, COVID-19 has been declared a pandemic because it is a disaster with special characteristics. Therefore, its impact is actually progressive. It is gradual, and its peak is not now or today, but will be in the future. Therefore, there are three phases: pre-crisis, crisis, and post-crisis. The crisis phase requires collective awareness from both the government and the public. In short, what needs to be done is to work together to deal with the virus during the crisis phase. Several preventive measures can be taken to avoid the spread of the coronavirus by understanding the three factors that cause a pandemic: the threat of the virus itself, community vulnerability, and reduced facilities.

As the head of the UIN Maliki Malang COVID-19 Task Force, he suggested that in responding to the coronavirus pandemic, it's best to avoid the primary factor, the threat of COVID-19, as much as possible. "Choose to stay away from the virus! That's the choice," he said. One way to avoid the threat is through social distancing or physical distancing. This can be interpreted as maintaining distance when socializing with others. Therefore, according to the young lecturer, this approach is a solution and safer than taking the unwise action of declaring a fight against the virus.
