This event took place on Sunday, June 23, 2024, from 7:40 to 11:30 WIB at the Ni'matul Iman Islamic Boarding School.
The event was attended by 36 students from the Ni'matul Iman Islamic Boarding School. Two special guests were also present: Dr. Tias Pramesti Griana, M.Biomed, Head of the Medical Education Study Program at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, and Dr. Ika Nurnaila Syakhsiyah.
In her remarks, Dr. Tias stated that this was the first gathering, but not the last. "God willing, the activities carried out by these students will be beneficial for the students. She hopes that students will be more active in identifying issues in the community, especially those around campus, as many people still need health education," she said. She also hopes that activities like this will continue and be structured, not just sporadic, to improve health standards in the area.

Furthermore, the Supervisor of the Ni'matul Iman Islamic Boarding School, KH Mukayat, also gave a warm and hopeful welcome. He expressed his gratitude and thanks to the committee for organizing this activity. "Hopefully, this activity will be facilitated. Thank you to the committee, may the benefits be useful forever. Hopefully, all activities will be smooth and useful for the community, because health science is a science that is greatly needed in the community," said KH Mukayat.

This event featured Dr. Ika Nurnaila Syakhsiyah as a speaker with the theme "Clean and Healthy Lifestyle (PHBS)." In her presentation, Dr. Ika emphasized the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness and practicing a healthy lifestyle. "This event is very interesting because it has a pesantren concept that fits with UIN, and can provide knowledge at this pesantren by helping clean the environment and providing knowledge about clean and healthy lifestyles. The method of mentoring until friends practice how to clean has a good impact on other students," said Dr. Ika.

During the event, participants gained a variety of knowledge and skills about environmental hygiene and health. They also had the opportunity to directly practice how to maintain cleanliness in the Islamic boarding school environment.

Aditya, the head of the Student Association of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, expressed his appreciation for the event, stating that it had significantly improved compared to the previous year. "The event was good, and there were improvements compared to last year. Although there are some improvements that need to be made, overall it was good. Hopefully, the POA event will be a momentum for the class of 2023 to motivate them to serve the community," Aditya said.
This activity is expected to be the beginning of a series of similar activities that will continue to be carried out by PSDM HMPPD UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, with the aim of increasing awareness and knowledge about environmental health among the community, especially around the campus.
With the success of this event, PSDM HMPPD UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang hopes to make a real contribution to improving the quality of environmental health in the community, as well as building closer relations between the academic world and the community.
