Post-Accreditation Monitoring and Evaluation of PSPD and the Medical Profession: An Important Step Towards Quality Improvement

Batu (21/06/2024) – The Post-Accreditation Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) event for the Medical Education Study Program (PSPD) and the Medical Profession was successfully held online at Campus 3 of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, with Dr. Bagus Putu Putra Suryana Sp.PD-KR, FINASIM serving as the assessor. The head of the monev team, Dr. Iwal Reza Ahdi, Sp.PD, FINASIM explained that this event was a follow-up effort to the 2022 accreditation process.

The event was attended by Prof. Dr. dr. Yuyun Yueniwati, M.Kes, Sp.Rad (K) as the Dean of FKIK UIN Malang, as well as all the Faculty leaders, the Head of the Quality Assurance Unit, the Head of the Cooperation and International Relations Unit. Also present were the Heads of Study Programs and Study Program Secretaries from PSPD and the Medical Profession, along with the accreditation team.

The series of events began with an opening by the MC and continued with the reading of the holy verses of the Qur'an, then singing the song Indonesia Raya, MARS and HYMNE FKIK UIN Malang followed by the screening of the profile video of the University and FKIK UIN Malang. The event was then officially opened with remarks from the Dean of FKIK UIN Malang, Prof. Dr. dr. Yuyun Yueniwati, M.Kes, Sp.Rad (K). The event continued with post-accreditation monitoring and evaluation with Dr. Putra as the assessor.

Despite being conducted online, all members of the accreditation team gathered in the second-floor meeting room of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UIN Malang, demonstrating a strong commitment to the monitoring and evaluation process. The implementation proceeded smoothly and received positive feedback from the assessors, which is highly beneficial for the advancement of the Medical Education and Medical Profession Study Programs.

As a result of the evaluation, the Medical Education and Medical Profession Study Program was proven to be highly suitable and ready for reaccreditation, both in terms of documentation and infrastructure readiness. Support from Dr. Putra as an assessor in this monitoring and evaluation emphasized the need for continuous and consistent program development to ensure the continued improvement of educational quality.
