Malang, November 29, 2025 – The Medical Education Study Program together with AMSA UIN Malang held the National Workshop and National Symposium 9th SHIAM X SARCOPLASMA with the theme PACER: Professional Assistance and Coaching for Effective Exercise and Recovery. This activity will take place on Saturday, November 29, 2025, and will be a competency development event for health students, doctors, physiotherapists, other health workers, and the general public interested in the fields of sports injuries, physical performance, and rehabilitation.

This event is a form of collaboration between lecturers and students, this event is intended for all health workers, medical students and the general public as a forum to increase insight related to health and medicine, especially in the field of sports. Through this collaboration, it is hoped that a close relationship can be established between the parties involved. In addition, in this year's implementation, SHIAM X SARCOPLASMA established a collaborative relationship with the FK UNS and FK UM which in this case was realized by the presence of speakers from the medical faculty, namely dr. Erianto Fanani, MKKk., AIFO-K. lecturer at the FK University of Malang and dr. Amandha Boy Timor Randita, M.Med.Ed, Sp.KFR, M.Med.Klin, lecturer at the FK University of Sebelas Maret. The Ministry of Health also took part in this event by issuing SKP for workshop participants.

Additionally, this year's event also collaborated with Karsa Husada Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Batu City. RSUD Batu City offered free healthcare services to participants, including cholesterol and blood sugar checks, as well as free skin exams.

This activity was opened directly by the Dean of FKIK UIN Malang, Prof. Dr. dr. Yuyun Yueniwati, PW., M.Kes., Sp.Rad (K),. In her remarks, Prof. Yuyun expressed her appreciation for this year's implementation. "I really appreciate the work of the entire committee that the committee consists of lecturers and students with a lot of preparation, and to all participants online / offline, I thank you for your smart work, and I am impressed with the implementation which is getting better every year. Hopefully after the event, participants have the same thoughts, skills, knowledge and abilities," said Prof. Yuyun in her remarks.

In this year's National Workshop session, it was held in the Auditorium Hall, 3rd Floor, Ar Rahim Building, FKIK Campus 3, UIN Malang, and it is hoped that participants will gain in-depth learning about Principle and Application of Kinesiotaping for Lower Extremity in Sport Related Injury. This workshop presents three competent speakers, namely.

1. Dr. Andrianto Wisnu Nugroho, Sp.OT, with the material "“Optimizing Musculoskeletal Readiness as the Key to Structural Safety During Running”
2. Dr. Erianto Fanani, MKKk., AIFO-K, with the material "“Physiological Regulation for Energy Balance and Performance During Running”
3. Dr. Amandha Boy Timor Randita, M.Med.Ed, Sp.KFR, M.Med.Klin, with material "“Advancing Rehabilitation and Recovery Process After Sport-Related Injury in Lower Extremity”

The material provided includes the basic principles of kinesiotaping, mechanical correction techniques, application on gluteal, hip, knee, ankle, foot, to the management of ligament injuries. This workshop is designed to provide practical skills that can be immediately applied to lower extremity injuries in athletes and general patients.

Nadia Rahmatazahra (PSPD 24) as the chairperson of the committee hopes that this event can continue to be developed as part of the branding of FKIK UIN Malang. “"Hopefully, this event can be preserved and developed better in future years, considering that this activity is also part of the branding of our study program and faculty,"” he said. In line with this, the Dean of FKIK UIN Malang, Prof. Dr. dr. Yuyun Yueniwati, PW., M.Kes., Sp.Rad (K), emphasized that this activity is an important momentum to strengthen the faculty's re-branding as well as an effort to follow the development of trends to remain relevant and useful. He said that future implementations need to continue to improve the quality, both in terms of theme selection and implementation procedures. Despite facing challenges related to area readiness and a fairly long preparation process, Prof. Yuyun still appreciates the work of the committee which he considered solid, alert, and dedicated, he concluded closing the interview.

In a series of events National Symposium And 9th SHIAM X SARCOPLASMA Symposium Workshop This year, a workshop was also held with the same presenters as the morning seminar. This workshop adopted a learning mechanism. Collaborative Structured Learning (CSL), where participants were divided into three groups based on different stages of material. The event began with a 40-minute introductory lecture by three presenters on kinesiotaping. Afterward, the 25 participants were divided into three groups according to three predetermined stages of material:

1. Glute and Femur Station, guided by dr. Amandha Boy Timor Randita, M.Med.Ed, Sp.KFR, M.Med.Klin.
2. Ankle to Foot Stage, guided by Dr. Erianto Fanani, MKKk., AIFO-K.
3. Knee Station, guided by Dr. Andrianto Wisnu Nugroho, Sp.OT.

Each group consists of 8 participants in station A, 8 participants in station B, and 9 participants in station C. Each practical session lasts for 15 minutes, after which participants will move to different stations in turn (A to B, B to C, and C to A), so that all participants can experience the three available stations.

By holding a series of activities National Symposium And Symposium Workshop This year, the 9th SHIAM X SARCOPLASMA, the Medical Education Study Program reaffirmed its commitment to providing innovative, applicable, and relevant medical education to the needs of the modern healthcare world. Through cross-faculty collaboration, support from the Ministry of Health, and the enthusiasm of participants, this activity not only became a learning space, but also a forum to strengthen academic and professional networks in the field of sports medicine. It is hoped that SHIAM X SARCOPLASMA can continue to be a leading annual agenda that encourages increased competence, advances research, and expands the contribution of PSPD in producing superior and competitive healthcare workers.
