Malang – The Medical Education Study Program (PSPD) of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang successfully held the peak event of MEDINA X (Medical UIN Maliki Anniversary) on Sunday (7/6) at the Ar-Rahim Campus of UIN Malang. Carrying the theme "“A Decade: Achieving Distinction, Empowering Character and Divine Education”", this activity is a moment of reflection and celebration of one decade of PSPD UIN Malang's journey in building superior, character-based medical education based on Islamic values.
The event began with participant registration, followed by the opening by Master of Ceremonies (MC), Runaways Band performance, recitation of the holy Quran, and singing of Indonesia Raya, FKIK March, and FKIK Hymn. The solemn atmosphere was even more felt when entering the welcoming session from various leaders and student representatives who conveyed their hopes and reflections on the ten-year journey of PSPD UIN Malang.

The Chairperson of the Medical Education Study Program Student Association (HMPPD), Raihan Zaky (PSPD 24), in his remarks expressed the hope that this decade-long momentum would increase the sense of gratitude of the entire academic community for the various achievements that had been achieved.
“"We hope that this 10th anniversary of our study program will increase our sense of gratitude and produce doctors who will benefit those around them," he said.
Echoing this sentiment, the Head of the Medical Education Study Program, Dr. drg. Risma Kristianti, M.Si., emphasized that this ten-year journey should serve as a valuable lesson for moving forward.
“"The study program's 10-year existence is expected to provide lessons for moving forward with greater clarity. It is also hoped that it will develop the study program with integrity and a vision and mission to advance to the international level," said Drg. Risma in her remarks.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Medical Profession Study Program, Dr. Abdul Malik Setiawan, M. Infect.Dis., Ph.D., expressed his appreciation to all parties who have contributed to the implementation of MEDINA X, especially the committee who have devoted their time and energy to the success of the event.
“"We would like to thank all parties involved, especially the committee for taking the time to organize this event. We hope this event will enhance leadership skills and other abilities not learned in regular classes."”

In her remarks, Deputy Dean I of FKIK UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, Dr. dr. Ermin Rachmawati, M.Biomed, also expressed her appreciation to the entire committee for their dedication. She believes that activities like MEDINA X are not only a celebration but also a learning platform rich in leadership values, time management, teamwork, and critical thinking skills based on problem-solving.
“"Events like this offer many lessons, especially for the committee. We gain valuable moral and skill lessons, including time management, leadership, and case-based critical thinking. In celebrating the first decade of the UIN Malang medical education program, much history has been made. Everyone has been involved in this achievement. This program also includes contributions from all parties, both laboratory technicians and students. Limitations do exist, but in our 10th year, we have proven our excellence. Therefore, let's grow and develop doctors who are Ulul Al-Bab."”
In addition to being a reflection event, MEDINA X also features various competitions and activities that actively involve students. The series of events includes dance competition finals, singing competition finals, and MEDINA Quiz Games or X-tra Fun Games, as well as various other competitions held during the series of PSPD UIN Malang's decade-long commemoration. The participants' enthusiasm was evident throughout the activities, which lasted from morning to evening.

Beyond just competitions and entertainment, MEDINA X also offers social activities in the form of the Village Service program, which includes health checks and BLOODY (blood donation) activities, demonstrating students' tangible contributions to the community. These programs demonstrate the value of service, a key pillar of medical education at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang.

The highlight of the event was marked by the announcement and awarding of awards to the winners of various competitions, including logo design competitions, PSPD jacket designs, MEDINA videos, E-Sport, E-Football, singing competition, dance competition, and X-tra Fun Games. In addition, special awards were also given to the best students, lecturers, and educational staff as a form of appreciation for their dedication in advancing the FKIK UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang.

Through the MEDINA X celebration, the entire academic community is invited to reflect on the journey that has been undertaken and look to the future with optimism. A decade of PSPD UIN Malang's journey is proof that collaboration, integrity, and a spirit of dedication can produce various proud achievements. With the theme "“A Decade: Achieving Distinction, Empowering Character and Divine Education”", PSPD UIN Malang is committed to continuing to produce doctors who are superior, have character, and are able to make real contributions to the nation and society.
