Malang – December 20, 2025, Razhes Medical Team (RMT) UIN Maulana Ibrahim Malang once again demonstrated its real action by directly engaging with the community in a Mass Circumcision and Free Medical Treatment event. This activity was held in Gedog Wetan Village, RT 04/RW 07, Turen District, Malang Regency. This event was held to welcome National Mother's Day and as a routine agenda for the residents of Gedog Wetan Village. The RMT UIN Malang health team was invited to participate in the success of the event as a mass circumcision team and was accompanied by a team from Saiful Anwar Hospital (RSSA) Malang as free health services. The Mass Circumcision and Free Medical Treatment event was also combined with prayers and istighosah with the local community.

This event has become an annual event, having been held for nine consecutive years. The enthusiasm of the local community has led to an increase in the number of participants each year. According to Dr. Yayuk, the event's organizer, the enthusiasm of the local community was evident in the large number of registrants, even though no flyers had yet been distributed.

This year, the Mass Circumcision and Free Medical Treatment program was a success, with 60 medical students from both preclinical and clinical levels from UIN Malang and 31 circumcision participants participating. Dr. Putri Aulawiya Rosyida Halim, M. Biomed, the student supervisor, hopes that their participation in such activities will improve their skills and enable them to take on a greater role in the community.

“"We hope that by having preclinical students participate in activities like this, we can introduce them to the real-world practices they've learned at CSL. We also hope that clinical students can play a vital role in shaping the path to becoming doctors," said Dr. Putri.

Dr. Yayuk, the person in charge of organizing this event, hopes to contribute more to the health of the surrounding community.

“"We hope to help those in need in the local community, and there are no restrictions on those who are able or unable. We are open to all residents," said Dr. Yayuk in an interview.

Furthermore, the local community also participated in making this event a success, and many felt helped by it. One resident who felt the impact of this event was Mr. Purwanto.

“"We feel this event has helped us because we don't have to travel all the way to the community health center or hospital to circumcise our son. Hopefully, future events will be even more lively and blessed," said Mr. Purwanto, the guardian of one of the circumcision participants.

Through this Mass Circumcision and Free Medical Treatment, the Razhes Medical Team (RMT) of UIN Maulana Ibrahim Malang reaffirmed its role as the vanguard of medical students' community service. RMT's consistent involvement in the field serves not only as a platform for social service but also as a real learning platform for students to hone their empathy, clinical skills, and professionalism from an early age. With a spirit of collaboration and ongoing dedication, RMT UIN Malang is expected to continue to be a driving force for health activities that have a direct and sustainable impact on the wider community.
