Saturday, March 2, 2024, was a historic day for the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) of the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. FKIK UIN Malang together with the Faculty of Medicine of Wijaya Kusuma University, the Association of Indonesian Medical Education Institutions (AIPKI) Region V, and the Indonesian Medical Student Senate Association (ISMKI) Region IV received the MURI Record award for the Record for the Most Stunting Prevention Counseling Conducted by the Dean and Chair of the Faculty of Medicine Student Executive Board. The MURI record award was presented to coincide with the holding of the AIPKI Region 5 Deans' Forum which was held on March 1-3 and the ISMKI Region 4 Regional Conference which was held on March 1-4.

The event which has a noble goal to increase public knowledge, especially cadres related to stunting, starting from preventive, curative, and rehabilitative efforts, is expected to reduce the number of stunting, especially in Indonesia to move towards a golden generation of Indonesia. It was attended by 1000 cadres of "SURABAYA HEBAT" in the Surabaya area and its surroundings, also attended by 24 Deans of the Faculty of Medicine and their staff who are members of AIPKI region V and BEM officials and Medical students representing from 34 institutions who are members of ISMKI region IV.

The Chairperson of AIPKI Region V who also serves as the Dean of FKIK UIN Malang, Prof. Dr. dr. Yuyun Yueniwati, PW., M.Kes., Sp.Rad(K). who also attended the event expressed her gratitude for the MURI record award, "I am very grateful that FKIK UIN Malang received this MURI record award. In the future, I hope that obtaining this award can be used as a plus point for the accreditation assessment and branding of our faculty.".

“"This event was very memorable and it was an honor for me to be able to join this activity, and it is also a proof of the realization of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education from the highest levels in the Faculty to students taking part in preventing one of the most important issues in Indonesia, namely stunting," said Bryka Vian Nanggali as Chair of the Medical Student Association of FKIK UIN Malang who was also present at the event.
