Prof. Dr. H. Mudjia Raharjo, M.Si Saturday, August 13, 2016 held a meeting with parents/guardians of new students in 2016 in the "Gathering of Work Meetings on Socialization of Academic and Student Systems for Guardians of New Students and Graduation of Tahfizd Al-Qur'an Students of the 2016/2017 Academic Year of Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University of Malang". This meeting was held in two sessions. The first session was held openly at the MH Soeharto Building (Sport Center) of Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University of Malang at 08.30-11.30 WIB with the presence of 85% parents/guardians of students from various departments.
The second session of the meeting of the leadership and parents/guardians of undergraduate students of the Medical Education Study Program, Faculty of Health and Health Sciences in 2016 was held in the Auditorium on the 4th Floor of Building C, Campus II, Jl. IR. Soekarno 1, Dadaprejo, Batu City at 14.00-17.00 WIB. The event received a positive response from all invited guests, especially parents of students and in this event the parents were also given the opportunity to ask questions regarding their sons and daughters' education at FKIK UIN Malang starting from the lecture system, supporting facilities for administrative lectures, and so on.
Prof. Dr. H. Mudjia Raharja M.Si as the Rector of UIN Maliki Malang said that this meeting of parents/guardians of students is to establish a relationship between the leadership and parents/guardians of students. He also said that the Medical Education Study Program is the ideal of UIN Maliki Malang after going through a five-year process, which finally received a decree (SK) from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Ristekdikti) on March 30, 2016. Students accepted into this medical education study program are superior students from the SBMPTN selection results from approximately 1,500 applicants, with only a quota of 50 students provided. The new medical education students are provided with Ma'had facilities to explore religious knowledge, as capital to become doctors who have spiritual depth, great morals, breadth of knowledge, professional maturity. Professor of Brawijaya University Prof. Sutiman Bambang Sumitro, M.Sc. D.Sc. also participated in delivering a sermon on "Understanding the Existence of the Self and the Universe to Increase Piety." Medical students must understand the essence of science as a verse of Kauniah, where nature is the truth and a source of learning.
The Head of the Medical Education Study Program, Dr. Nurlaili Susanti M.Biomed. also conveyed various facilities to support the running of lectures and introduced the entire academic community of the FKIK of the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang starting from the director of Ma'had, Dean, and teaching staff and educational staff.
