Jakarta, April 25, 2019
Facing the Hajj season 1440 H / 2019 M, FKIK UIN Malang has again received the trust of the Directorate General of PHU to send its lecturers and educational staff to be part of the Hajj Organizing Committee (PPIH) of Saudi Arabia. This trust from the Ministry of Religion is the second time given to FKIK UIN Malang following last year's success. This year FKIK UIN Malang assigned 5 personnel to join the P3JH (First Aid for Hajj Pilgrims) team, namely: dr. Christyaji Indadmojo, dr. Doby Indrawan, MMRS, dr. M. Rizal Novianto, MHPE, dr. Iwal Reza Ahdi, Sp.PD, and Ferry Nur Nasyroh, S.Kep., Ners.
From April 23 to May 2, 2019, the Ministry of Religious Affairs conducted an integrated training program for Saudi Arabian Hajj officials at the Pondok Gede Hajj Dormitory in Jakarta. The goal was to prepare Hajj officials who would be clean and serve by upholding the five cultural values of work (integrity, professionalism, innovation, responsibility, and exemplary behavior). All prospective PPIH officials from both the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Ministry of Health participated in the training.
As a new unit within the PPIH, the role of P3JH is clearly felt during the operation of Hajj pilgrimage services in the special sectors of the Grand Mosque, the Prophet's Mosque, and Armuzna (Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina). P3JH successfully established initial contact with pilgrims experiencing potential health and non-health issues at their assigned locations. P3JH plays a role in providing first aid, evacuating, and serving the pilgrims' medical and non-medical needs. The team, established by the Ministry of Religious Affairs in 2018, is expected to collaborate with the Pilgrim Protection Team (Linjam), Worship Guidance, and the Rapid Response Team (TGC) from the Ministry of Health to provide the best in guiding, serving, and protecting God's guests.
