Batu, February 9, 2025 \u2013 After passing the preliminary rounds attended by 1,447 participants from six rayons, the CARDION 2025 event finally reached its peak with the holding of the semifinals and finals at Campus 2 of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. This competition is an annual Olympiad for high school\/Islamic high school students organized by the UIN Malang Medical Education Student Association, competing in two branches of competition, namely the medical olympiad and public posters.<\/p>\n

The rigorous selection process for the finals began with preliminary rounds on January 26, 2025, across six regions: Malang, Probolinggo, Central Java, Sidoarjo, Madura, and Jombang-Kediri-Tulungagung. Of the thousands of participants, only the top 25 teams advanced to the semifinals of the Olympics.<\/p>\n

The semifinal and final events were officially opened with remarks from the Deputy Dean 3 of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK) UIN Malang, dr. Alvi Milliana, M.Biomed. In her remarks, she expressed her hope that this event would not only be a competition, but also provide more benefits for the participants. "I hope that with this olympiad, the students will gain valuable experience and expand their networks for the future. In addition, it is also important for us to introduce the study programs at FKIK UIN Malang, so that participants can gain more insight into the world of medicine and health," said dr. Alvi.<\/p>\n

The Head of the Medical Education Study Program at UIN Malang, Dr. Tias Pramesti Griana, M.Biomed., also commented on the event. "My hope for the students participating in CARDION 2025 is that they will gain a deeper understanding of what is being studied in medicine and develop their academic skills. Furthermore, I have seen remarkable progress in the CARDION event since its inception in 2017. Many improvements have been made, including a wider range of participants, so that more students can benefit from this event," she said.<\/p>\n

On February 9, 2025, the semifinal round of the Olympics took place tightly with a system that Rally point<\/em>. From there, only the top five teams advanced to the final round, which consisted of a quiz. Meanwhile, in the public poster competition, finalists presented their posters to a panel of judges consisting of medical alumni of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UIN Malang.<\/p>\n

In addition to the thrilling competition, all semifinalists also received an exclusive opportunity to tour the UIN Malang medical campus. This activity provided deeper insight into the university's academic environment and medical education facilities.<\/p>\n

One of the medical olympiad winners from MAN 2 Malang City, who won first place, shared his experience during the competition. "Here, I found more challenging questions that aligned with the HOTS concept. The committee was also very friendly and professional in organizing the event. I hope that next year CARDION can improve and continue to grow. Thank God, we are very grateful to have won this prestigious event," he said.<\/p>\n

With the end of the final round, CARDION 2025 has succeeded in becoming a prestigious event that not only tests the academic abilities of the participants but also provides valuable experience in getting to know UIN Malang medicine.<\/p>\n
